ATTENTION CHOIRSCALL TO FESTIVAL!71th Annual SSF Singing FestivalHosted by
TheSt. George Serbian Singing SocietyMemorial Day WeekendMay 25th, 26th, 27th, 2012in San Diego, CA
On behalf of the Serbian Singing Federation Executive Board, it is my honor to invite your esteemed choir to participate in the 71st Annual S.S.F. Choral Festival. The 2012 Festival will be hosted Memorial Day weekend by the S.S.S. St. George Choir, May 25 ‐ 27, 2012 in San Diego, California!
The Executive Board strongly encourages all member choirs to participate in next year's Festival. We realize that a trip to San Diego is a huge undertaking, so we encourage you to start planning early! We also understand that perhaps not all of your members will be able to participate. Therefore, we are encouraging choirs to look into the possibility of participating with neighboring choirs. Regional choirs will be a welcome addition to the 2012 Festival. A little creative thinking and early preparations will ensure a good showing for this long‐overdue West Coast Festival. Please respond to me with the name(s) of the song(s) you plan to sing. All choirs are limited to performance times of between 10‐12 minutes. Selections must be composed or arranged by aSerbian composer, or published by the S.S.F. In order to keep the program interesting, the same selection must not be performed by more than one choir at each day’s concert. Early responses are encouraged, as reservations for songs will be treated on a first‐come basis. Please email me at: bdh1906@comcast.net with your choir's name, song selections and directors name by Sunday, January 31, 2012. In addition, please contact me with any questions.
The Executive Board is in regular contact with the San Diego Festival Committee regarding their plans and will forward information regarding hotels, headquarters, weekend itinerary, etc., as soon as that information becomes available.
It is our hope that your choir will be able to perform at the 71st Annual S.S.F. Choral Festival in SanDiego!
