The Paul S. Bielich Scholarship Award is
a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating, SSF member,
high school senior.
Criteria of Applicant:
- Application limited to high school seniors
- Applicant must be an active member of their local,
active SSF member choir prior to the start of their
Senior year of high school
- Baptized in the Eastern Orthodox Faith of Serbian descent
- Anticipated high school diploma and acceptance at an
accredited junior college or university
- Evidence of academic performance with a minimum 3.0 grade
point average
- Copy of high school transcript
- Biography and aspirations of applicant including
extra-curricular activity within choir, church, and school
- Signature of applicant, parents,choir president, choir
secretary, choir director, and parish priest
- Applications must be received at SSF Headquarters by
April 15th of each year
Selection:
- Selection of the recipient will be made by the evaluation of the
applicant’s credentials by the SSF Executive Board. All
decisions of the Executive Board are final.
- The recipient will be announced at the SSF Festival, held
Memorial Day weekend.
- The award will be made payable to the recipient upon receipt
of a copy of the college acceptance letter
